Tony Blair-His Excuse

Tony Blair published his book. He has a hard time to explain, why he went together with George W. Bush into war. A few years ago I was at a rhetorically inspiring speech by Blair at an event of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council. I was listening Tony Blair toghether with 2000 guests at this luncheon in downtown LA . There, he used the same arguments as in the book. His rhetorical skills helped him only partially to deliver that excuse in a believable manner. And I am sure he will use his arguments to his last day. He will continuously say how sorry he felt for the one who lost their lives and that the world had to be protected from Saddam Hussein. Maybe when his last day will come, Blair will admit that it was probably a mistake to go into war, and that he did not understand then why he, a self confident leader, was suddenly submissive to the questionable president of the United States.
